Charlie's Story

Addiction, family break down, depression and homelessness are all so often sadly associated with unmanageable debt. Unfortunately, Charlie's story involved all of these.
Having gambled away his family's savings, Charlie's relationship with his wife broke down. Carrying the weight of letting his family down and with no money, homelessness quickly became a reality as Charlie had no option but to live in his car.

"It was a terrible, terrible sort of life...Clothes, shoes; I couldn't buy"

Thankfully, Charlie's story doesn't end here. After hearing about Christians Against Poverty, Charlie made the call and asked for help, "When I discovered CAP, they planned everything for me". Having the burden of having to worry about his finances taken away, it was at this point that Charlie was able to fight for his family; "I won my family back, my children back, my life, my organised life back!"

The most amazing part of Charlie's story is that he invited God into his heart and not only received financial freedom but eternal freedom also!
"My heart is pumping for Jesus Christ" Charlie told CAP, "my future is bright now!"
